Five weeks ago, Preston Stout made history as the first golfer ever to claim three Big 12 Championship titles. Today, he became the Cowboys' 10th individual national champion.

For the world No. 3 and Golf NIL College Men's No. 8, the $500K Golf NIL Valuation is about to matter more. The win earns him a spot in the 2026 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills and a likely 2027 Masters invitation, provided he stays amateur.

Those starts give Stout something valuable: a place on golf's biggest stages, known months ahead of time. For brands, that's the kind of certainty you can build a campaign around, and because he's still an amateur with a full season ahead, he remains gettable on NIL terms. Pair that with the storyline he's building with his titles and upcoming starts, and it's easy to see why new partners would want in, and why existing ones have every reason to deepen the relationship.

The national title caps a season that already included wins at the Cabo Collegiate, Maridoe Collegiate, and Mountaineer Invitational, along with a Walker Cup victory with Team USA last fall. It also made him a finalist for the Ben Hogan and contender for the Jack Nicklaus and Haskins Awards.

Tomorrow, he'll join his OSU teammates in match play, where they enter as the No. 5 seed and defending NCAA champions.

Stout is backed by Titleist, FootJoy, UNRL, Foresight Sports, and his newest sponsor, Huntington National Bank, which named him to its 2026 collegiate golf ambassador roster alongside six other amateurs.

Two weeks ago, the Richardson, Texas native played in the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, competing in front of his home crowd. It was his second PGA Tour start and third professional event. He's slated for another Tour appearance at the Worldwide Technology Championship this November.
